I wish I had read these reviews before I even bothered to try and watch this movie. There is no reason at all to affiliate this movie with Robert. B. Parker, or Spenser for Hire because it's simply not the same characters at all. The backstory is wrong, the girlfriend is wrong, even poor Pearl was wrong. I was beyond disappointed. Can't someone do these books justice. Robert B. Parker's writing is so witty and captivating, unlike this screenplay.
