I 've tried watching this film decades ago but never made it 'till the end. It was only until recently when I came across your edit that I've watched it in full several times. Masterful work. Refined and fluid. David Lynch had a great film in his hands but he didn't have the final cut. Now he has one. You have my most sincere congratulations. ps. Pure Cult scene @ 1:46:06 - end of book II.

I rented a new car last month that DIDN'T even have a CD player in it! Remember cassette tapes? I would think technology would make it harder to forget our recent past (100-200 years) but I would be proven wrong time and time again.

That Dune and it's remake with William Hurt have been completely miscast. In the novel the Freman were a very tall chestnut color skinned people. Tuareg Berbers would be a more true life example of the Freman.
