The 2019 live-action Kim Possible TV movie referenced this scene by having Kim and her grandma train with kendo sticks. Funnily enough, that movie happened to air almost exactly 20 years to the day of The Matrix's original release, and Disney now has the right to make any further Matrix films through its new partnership with Village Roadshow Pictures, which was confirmed by the Matrix cast when they recently reunited at the 2019 D23 Expo.
