I took several huge coiled springs, Modified a Jacking lever that needed a hymatic powering, Tp compress and stretch was the action, What i found was along the length of the coil when struck with a mallot at various points from the flange it was anchored into, i got notes. And of course when compressed or stretched a wild sound happened like reverb up an down, Got that idea from Mike Oldfields works, Anyways that was during a time when scrap was everywhere and effort was a trip.
