I'm always irritated by those who mocks other language. every word means something. just imagine if someone takes someone else's mocking seriously, especially when the former is in a need of something, or in a formal and serious situation, or if that person had shown utmost courtesy. mock someone like him, and you might get yourself killed for all they care.

remember Thor in infinity war? he said to Starlord "are you mocking me?" because he is in a condition where he just lost everything. his bestfriend, his brother, killed before his eyes, unable to do anything. the guardians also in a condition where they just discovered a destroyed planet, and bumped into a demigod who is a victim on somethinf like this.

Thor is still more than powerful enough to kill Starlord on the spot, but i think i guess he realizes he's talking to a lesser being, in which condition this kinda thing is bound to happen sometimes.

if it were me, with all my humanity, at least i'd have given him a warning slap.

don't think that everyone you're talking to, as long as they're foreigners, don't understand you when you're mocking them or their language.

i plan to master as many languages as i can. right now i am learning Japanese. i'm also interested in learning more of Javanese (ironic, right? but because a national language & technology it's not used as much like in the past.), Korean, Spanish, Italian, German, French, maybe Arabic, and Thai. if i still have the capacity i might learn Indian and Latin.

and if i were to master all of that, would you know that i can speak your language while you're mocking me?

be nice to everyone, ladies & gentlemen. it always brings good things back to you. just because someone is a foreigner, doesn't mean he's subject to mocking. it's sometimes the other way around, it shows that the one mocking is inferior in mind.

when people of different tongues speak, they try harder to understand each other's intentions. would people involved in this kinda conversation half-ass their effort? or even not try at all? then, why bother?

that's why. the implications of what you say can be that severe.

if we say nothing funny, then the other group laughs after being told the translation of what we said, wouldn't that start a fight?
