OK, please tell me i'm not the only person who noticed this: dysentery is an infection of the lower intestine. So it's entirely possible the damn watch killed Butch's dad! I busted a gut laughing in the theater when he said dysentery, and nobody knew what the hell was wrong with me. Thought it was the funniest line in the movie up to that point, and yet, all these years later, and as much as this movie is talked about i've never seen or heard ONE SINGLE PERSON mention it. Shit used to keep me up nights. Is it really just me.
