Joker
トーク情報- kisonodoku
kisonodoku This film is a emotional roller coaster, that's for sure, it's a horrifying psychological drama that has one of the best character development ever but it has this one flaw: it's based on the Joker from comic books. Don't get too worked up, I'll explain as following:
- kisonodoku
kisonodoku Joaquin Phoenix once stated that this film is *loosely* based on the comics. And that is 100% accurate. He made me feel almost all the negative feelings that one person can feel except for one: hate.
- kisonodoku
kisonodoku The Joker from the comics transpire hatred, he is pure evil, evil at is very essence. I couldn't feel this from Joaquin Phoenix's interpretation. I often felt sad, sorry and mainly pity from this Joker.

kisonodoku If you can remove the references to DC Comics Universe like Gotham City and the Wayne Family, this film would have been perfect - you could keep the main character being called "The Joker" even. The only thing that kept it from being perfect it's because it's based on the comics and because it is loosely based on those.

kisonodoku Just a piece of my mind now, for the Extended DCU in the movies, I'd much prefer Jared Leto's Joker. I fail to see with people disliked his performance. He couldn't even get a decent screen time. The very little we could see from him was perfect. I could feel that insane hatred pouring from him.

kisonodoku All in all, if you can get passed this *based on comic books thingy* this movie is a master piece and Joaquin Phoenix gave a brilliant performance from a tragic, bizarre, grotesque and haunting delusional person.
