I love the way the Russos handle fights like war films and not like comic books. Comic book fights tend to be stale exercises in pointless ‘buff vs. ‘nerf resulting in little boys arguing over whether Batman could beat Superman. The Russos version of this - “Civil War” was so much better because they realized that this kind of discussion is for idiots. Their Civil War was a battle between National Security and Civil Liberty. A battle which has no ultimate right and wrong, and a war where everyone potentially loses. Likewise - Endgame is not about whether Thors two hammers can beat Thanos double sided blade. ridiculous. Its about what happens when the villain is so powerful that the heroes cannot defeat him with their superpowers. Its only then that you find out - what they are really made of, and thats the genius of this film.
